Position: Continuous Improvement Director (Garment Business)

Job Description
• Develop and implement continuous improvement strategy aligned with organizational goals by analyzing current business processes, workflows, and systems to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
• Implement continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement frameworks.
• Identify key areas for improvement across departments such as operations, manufacturing, supply chain, or service delivery etc.
• Lead initiatives to redesign and streamline processes for efficiency, quality, and cost reduction for production and process.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
• Lead cross-functional teams to drive improvement projects from conception to completion.
• Manage change effectively by fostering buy-in from all stakeholders and ensuring smooth implementation of new processes.
• Train and mentor staff on continuous improvement techniques, tools, and methodologies.
• Utilize data analytics to track the performance of existing processes and measure improvements.
• Establish metrics (KPIs) to monitor the effectiveness of improvement initiatives and report on progress regularly.
• Ensure improvements lead to measurable benefits in terms of cost savings, efficiency, or customer satisfaction.
• Work closely with senior leadership to ensure that continuous improvement initiatives are aligned with business goals.
• Collaborate with different departments for improvement projects.
• Communicate project goals, timelines, and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Textile Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt, Black Belt), or other relevant continuous improvement methodologies, applicable to the garment industry.
• Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing processes, industrial engineering principles, and work automation within the textile sector.
• Experience 8-10 years of experience in the garment manufacturing plus 5 years in a leadership role focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Proven track record of leading and implementing Lean/Kaizen projects specifically in garment production environments, resulting in measurable improvements in productivity, quality, and lead time.
• Experience in optimizing production lines, reducing waste, and improving workflow in garment factories.
• Familiarity with advanced textile machinery, automation systems, and emerging technologies in garment manufacturing.
• Strong leadership, good problem solving and managerial skills with a proven ability to influence and drive change in factory.
• Expertise in Lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Root Cause Analysis, statistical tools, data analysis and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) specifically applied to garment production.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including design, production, and quality control.
• Good command of English (both written and spoken), with strong communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts and lead cross-functional teams.
