Position: Truck Maintenance Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the daily maintenance activities for the truck fleet, ensuring all vehicles are maintained in accordance with company policies and manufacturer specifications.

  • Supervise, train, and support a team of mechanics and maintenance personnel. Assign tasks, evaluate performance, and ensure team adherence to safety protocols.

  • Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure all vehicles are operational. Track and document maintenance activities.

  • Ensure that all trucks comply with safety and regulatory standards, including regular inspections, repairs, and documentation. Implement safety programs and conduct safety audits.

  • Oversee the inventory of parts and supplies needed for truck maintenance. Ensure timely ordering of parts to avoid delays in repairs and maintenance.

  • Manage the maintenance budget, track expenses, and find cost-effective solutions for repairs and maintenance. Work to reduce costs while maintaining quality standards.

  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for specialized repairs, warranty work, and sourcing of parts.

  • Monitor and analyze vehicle performance data to identify opportunities for improving efficiency, extending vehicle life, and reducing operational costs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Engineering or a related field.

  • 10 years’ experience in management.

  • Strong knowledge of maintenance processes, equipment, and best practices. (Truck, Heavy machinery)

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in maintenance management software and tools.

  • Good Communications.
