Position: Truck Maintenance Manager
Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate the daily maintenance activities for the truck fleet, ensuring all vehicles are maintained in accordance with company policies and manufacturer specifications.
Supervise, train, and support a team of mechanics and maintenance personnel. Assign tasks, evaluate performance, and ensure team adherence to safety protocols.
Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure all vehicles are operational. Track and document maintenance activities.
Ensure that all trucks comply with safety and regulatory standards, including regular inspections, repairs, and documentation. Implement safety programs and conduct safety audits.
Oversee the inventory of parts and supplies needed for truck maintenance. Ensure timely ordering of parts to avoid delays in repairs and maintenance.
Manage the maintenance budget, track expenses, and find cost-effective solutions for repairs and maintenance. Work to reduce costs while maintaining quality standards.
Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for specialized repairs, warranty work, and sourcing of parts.
Monitor and analyze vehicle performance data to identify opportunities for improving efficiency, extending vehicle life, and reducing operational costs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Engineering or a related field.
10 years’ experience in management.
Strong knowledge of maintenance processes, equipment, and best practices. (Truck, Heavy machinery)
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in maintenance management software and tools.
