POSITION: SOURCING / MERCHANDISING MANAGER

Job Summary:
The Sourcing / Merchandising Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement and merchandising activities within the food trading business. This role involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with import-export regulations to optimize the supply chain and meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sourcing and Procurement: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and secure the best terms for quality and cost.
- Merchandising: Develop and implement merchandising strategies to maximize product availability and sales.
- Import-Export Management: Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, manage import-export documentation, and coordinate logistics.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent quality and supply of products.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences.
- Cost Management: Monitor and control procurement costs to achieve budgetary goals.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or merchandising, preferably in the food trading industry.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in supply chain management software.
- In-depth knowledge of import-export regulations, international trade laws, and food safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
