The Supplier Quality Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all products supplied by vendors meet the company’s quality standards. This role involves evaluating supplier performance, conducting audits, and implementing quality control processes to maintain high standards in the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Conduct regular audits of supplier facilities to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Work with suppliers to develop and implement process improvements to enhance product quality.
- Identify, document, and resolve quality issues with suppliers, including managing non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of supplier performance, audit results, and quality control activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including procurement, engineering, and production, to address quality issues and improve supplier performance.
- Provide training and support to suppliers on quality control processes and standards.
- Prepare and present reports on supplier quality performance to management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in supplier quality control, preferably in the electronics industry.
- Japanese proficiency at N2 or above and intermediate English.
- Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using quality management software and tools.
- Certification in Quality Management.
- Experience with ISO 9001 or other relevant quality standards.
Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes and materials.
