Responsibilities;
- Sourcing, negotiating, and managing ocean freight transportation and other logistics services.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines and third-party logistics providers.
- Evaluate and select vendors based on service quality, cost, and reliability.
- Negotiate terms and rates with carriers for both spot shipments and long-term contracts.
- Review and manage contracts to ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
- Analyze market trends to secure favorable rates and terms.
- Monitor and control ocean freight costs to ensure budget compliance.
- Implement cost-saving strategies and optimize transportation routes and methods.
- Evaluate and improve cost efficiency of current freight procurement processes.
- Monitor carrier performance and service levels.
- Conduct regular assessments and audits of freight service providers.
- Bachelor's degree in Business administration/ Logistics or any related field.
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in freight forwarding with an understanding of all related processes and documents.
- Extensive knowledge of logistics services, freight forwarding and shipping lines.
- Excellent business acumen, market, and industry knowledge.
- Require good command in reading and writing English.
