Job Summary:
 Responsible for overseeing and managing the planning and procurement of steel materials to support production requirements. This role ensures the efficient flow of materials, optimizes inventory levels, and coordinates with suppliers to meet production schedules. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, experience in steel material management, and the ability to lead a team to achieve departmental goals.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement MRP strategies for steel materials to ensure timely availability for production.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels of steel materials.
  • Generate and analyze MRP reports to identify potential material shortages or surpluses.
  • Manage the inventory and flow of steel coil products within the coil center.
  • Coordinate with mill makers to ensure timely delivery of steel materials.
  • Monitor and track delivery schedules to prevent production delays.
  • Resolve any delivery issues or discrepancies with suppliers.
  • Build good relationships with the mill makers.
  • Develop cutting designs and determine optimal MC (Machine Center) sizes to minimize material waste.
  • Continuously improve cutting processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Coordinate and manage deliveries from mill makers to ensure timely and accurate material availability.
  • Develop and optimize cutting designs, including determining Master Coil (MC) sizes, to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in materials requirements planning (MRP), preferably in the steel industry or related industries are welcome.
  • Strong knowledge of steel materials will be advantage.
  • Experience in inventory management and supply chain operations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Business English skill level is essential
