The Merchandise and Supply Chain Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of product merchandising, inventory management, and supply chain operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement merchandise strategies that align with the company’s goals and market trends.
- Oversee product selection, pricing strategies, and promotional activities to maximize sales and profitability.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to create compelling product displays and marketing campaigns.
- Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels, minimizing excess and shortages.
- Implement and maintain effective inventory tracking systems and processes.
- Analyze inventory data to forecast demand and plan future inventory needs.
- Oversee the end-to-end supply chain process, from procurement to delivery.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to ensure the best quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders, coordinating with logistics partners to optimize shipping and handling.
- Lead and develop a high-performing merchandise and supply chain team.
- Provide training, guidance, and performance management to team members.
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs across the supply chain.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements to drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and monitor KPIs to assess the effectiveness of supply chain operations.
- Develop and manage budgets for the merchandise and supply chain departments.
- Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures where possible.
- Ensure all operations comply with relevant laws and regulations.
- Manage risks related to supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration or related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in merchandising and supply chain management with at least 5 years in a leadership role in fast fashion, toy, collectibles or related industries
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in both Thai and English.
